Rev. Canon Michael Harper, (a prime mover in the early Charismatic Renewal in the Anglican Church in Britain and abroad, and now a priest in the Eastern Orthodox Church) wrote this back in January 1974. It is possibly more relevant today than ever, especially under threat of terrorist activity against our churches:
"Every local church, and every denomination for that matter, should possess carefully prepared and secretly maintained contingency plans for continuing underground in a time of persecution."

This is remarkably insightful advice written over 30 years ago, and it is interesting that Fr. Michael was in this passage, introducing a study of the Christian year from a renewal perspective, and not at all majoring on emergency planning.
